Christian Gifts- Tots For Christ
(Tuesday) October 28, 2008 by Tayarisha Joyce

If you are looking for unique gifts for Christmas, baby showers, baby dedications, birthdays, etc.., consider visiting Tots For Christ.

You will be able to purchase items with biblical expressions of love, joy, and wisdom. They currently offer items such as onesies and t-shirts of all sizes. And they allow you to customize the message you want on each item.

I ordered a set of onesies and t-shirts for a girlfriend of mine who recently had a little girl. After placing the order, the owner Sharndell Aitch sent me a personal email. I thought that was great for customer service, something that is rare these days.

So if you are looking to share a unique gift over the upcoming holidays or for any special occasion, I’d like to encourage you to visit Tots For Christ for
Psalm 8:2 (King James Version ) says

2Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
and the (New International Version) says

From the lips of children and infants
you have ordained praise [a]
because of your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.

Enjoy.

BibleGateWay’s Verse Of The Day

Here Is The Verse Of The Day from Biblegateway.com

Bill Winston’s Word Of The Week
(Monday) October 27, 2008 by Tayarisha Joyce

1 Corinthians 10:13 (King James Version) 13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Poem Of The Week - How Blest Are They, Who, Fearing God
(Wednesday) October 22, 2008 by Tayarisha Joyce

How blest are they, who, fearing God,
From sin restrain their feet,
Who will not with the wicked stand,
And shun the scorner’s seat.
How blest are they who make God’s law
Their treasure and delight
And meditate upon that word
With gladness day and night.
Their lives are nourished like a tree
Set by the river’s side;
Its leaf is green; its fruit is sure;
So all their works abide.
The wicked, like the driven chaff,
Are blown across the land;
They shall not gather with the just,
Nor in the judgement stand.
The Lord will guard the righteous well;
Their way to God is known,
The way of sinners, far from God,
Shall surely be o’erthrown.

Weekly Sources Of God’s Word
(Tuesday) October 21, 2008 by Tayarisha Joyce

In trying to get closer to God, it helps to know what resources are available to keep us on our faith walk and to help us when we have fallen off our destined path.  You may find it helpful to use resources that consistently and frequently provide revelation on  God’s word. I find Bill Winston’s Word Of The Week to be helpful:

Another reference point for a weekly word is Creflo Dollar Ministries where the Word Of The Week is provided in English and Espanol.

 For a source of weekly sermons, you can visit Dr. Leroy Thompson where you will be able to stream his latest television broadcast. Dr. Thompson provides audio only streams as well as video streaming using your favorite software (Windows Media Player  or Quick Time for Mac users). If you view/listen to this week’s broadcast, the following scripture will be referenced so be prepared:

Proverbs 10:22

22The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Hosea 4:6

6My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Mark 7:9,13

9And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

13Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

Deuteronomy 28:13

13And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

Deuteronomy 28:8

8The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Ecclesiastes 10:5

5There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler

Bill Winston Ministries’ Word Of The Week Reminds Us To Be On Guard For The Devil’s Temptations
(Monday) October 20, 2008 by Tayarisha Joyce

Just as God watches over us, the devil is just as busy. So we must be on guard for satan’s antics. The Word Of The Week from Bill Winston Ministries comes from 1 Peter 5:8-9.

1 Peter 5:8-9 (King James Version)
 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Or another way to read this scripture is the New International Version

1 Peter 5:8-9 (New International Version)

8Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

 9Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

Motivational Song Of The Week
(Monday) October 20, 2008 by Tayarisha Joyce

As we start this week, no matter what battles we face, no matter what storms we are in, let us remember that through the good and bad times we are still children of God.

And we worship God the Father because of who He is. Take a moment to listen to Joann Rosario sing “Because Of Who You Are”.

Now get out there and do your thing. Take God with you as you look for work, go to work, rebuke that illness, or declare victory over wayward children.

Remember if it is going well for you, it can even be better. And if it is not going so well for you, it can even be worse.

Let’s remember to take time to love on God and Jesus the Messiah.

God bless you, your loved ones, and your enemies.

Have a wonderful week!
