A Song That Will Encourage Anyone-Brenda Waters “Victory”

I began feeling a little tired last week. It was not the physical tiredness from exercising or anything physical. It was more of a mental and I dare to say spiritual tiredness. At times it seems like I can not do things quick enough. There is so much to do in only 24 hours. There are so many peoples’ needs I need to meet. Then I have my own goals on top of that list of things to do or accomplish. Pardon me gentlemen but this is a constant dilemma many women face.

The thing is, I have been feeling like I have been battling but can not clearly identify who or what is attacking me. To be honest, alot of it is brought on by my own ambition. I have to work on not allowing my flesh to take over and do the fighting. After all, God says in

Exodus 14:14

The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.

I am very honest with my self and very critical as well. I know that at times there is too much Tayarisha Joyce involved in dealing with things and not enough God. So during quiet moments I have asked God to forgive me for taking over and not trusting Him enough. I have been also honest in admitting this is a stronghold I will be working on for some time. I thank God for His grace and mercy for forgiving me for trying to “run things”.

But what really helped me were 2 things: 1. I got in a quiet place and listened to a CD I purchased “The Lord Is My Healer” by A. Ryab and Sid Roth. 2. I listened to an encouraging song by Brenda Waters called “Victory”.

If you or anyone you know is going through a difficult time right now, let me encourage you to listen to “Victory” over and over and over until it sinks into your spirit.

God Bless You!

Places To Find Online Sermons, Music, Jokes, and More

Have you ever been at work and wanted to hear The Word to feed your spirit, soul, and mind? Or maybe you are in an emotional state, that you don’t know what you need to hear or do. Perhaps you are in a hotel room on vacation or a business trip and you need an energizer or something to lift your spirit.

Well, thank God for the internet! There are so many websites to get that “right now” message that can be delivered instantly to your ears and spirit.

We are blessed that we can visit sites like Praise 92.1 FM, a radio station based out of Houston, Texas that also is the home of the nationally syndicated “Yolanda Adams Morning Show with Brother Larry”. Below is a screenshot of the website as it existed at the time of this blog posting. Noticed I have pointed out or highlighted in red the area on their home web page that you click on to listen to the radio station live while you are online.

One site worth visiting is Streaming Faith. They provide a collection of saved sermons that you can listen to on demand (whenever you like). They also stream live sermons from both known and not so known church leaders. Streaming Faith also has listings and links to access tv networks and programs that you can view using their website. And there is also a category for radio programs you can listen to. Streaming Faith pulls many sources of Christian media together and allows you to access them using one website http://www.streamingfaith.com. Below is a screenshot of their site as it existed at the time of this posting:
StreamingFaith.com consolitdates many different sources of Christian content together on one site so that you have access to tv and radio stations that stream their content as well as access to live sermons and saved or archived sermons and so much more...

Another site that seems to be anointed is God TV . Once you visit the main page of the site, you need to click on your appropriate geographic location on the map at the bottom portion of the screen.  Once I did that, it took me to http://us.god.tv site (see following screenshot).

How Much Does God Love You And Me?

Tuesday, April 29, 2008
By

I don’t think we really understand how much God loves us. Take a moment to think about it. Are you a parent or grandparent? If not, chances are you will be one day. Maybe you do not have kids and have no desire to have kids. Chances are you own a pet and love them as if they were you child.

Well, let me ask you, would you be willing to sacrifice (allow your child or pet to die) to save a another? Would you allow your child to die to save someone else in your family? Would you allow your child to die to save a complete stranger? You have to be honest with yourself, that is tough to swallow.

But God, who is all knowing, loves us so much that He allowed His only begotten Son to suffer in agony on the cross as a sacrifice of love to save all of us from spiritual death that would last for eternity. I don’t believe many of us would be able to repeat the same gesture of affection.

The Bible mentions this act of sacrifice by God in John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Charles Stanley explains “The Passion of God’s Love” in this 24 minute, 40 second audio podcast. Take a few minutes to listen:

What Does Salvation Mean?

Tuesday, April 22, 2008
By

Salvation means to be saved (preserved spiritually so that you have eternal life spiritually).

Ephesians 2:8 (stated as the book Ephesians Chapter 2, Verse 8 ) of the Bible, mentions “For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved ([a]delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;”

So no matter what great deeds a person  does, it will never be enough to deserve salvation from God. Instead, salvation is given to all those who believe in Jesus Christ as a gift from God. There is nothing we can do to earn salvation. It is given to us by God’s grace. Take a moment to re-read the scripture mentioned above: Ephesians 2:8.

I know I have made mistakes and will make mistakes. I am so grateful that God loves me, well all of us, so much that we still can be saved! Hallelujah! and Amen!

Thank you Father God! Thank you Jesus!

A Simple Way To Prove God Exists

Tuesday, April 15, 2008
By

Whether you believe in one God or several is not the point of this entry. Rather, I want to offer a simple way of proving that there is indeed a God. Let’s say you buy the whole Big Bang Theory, there had to be some container for nothing to exist. Who or what is the container? If everything started from a huge explosion, what held the original “object” that exploded to yield the Big Bang. Even if originally there was nothing in the beginning, there has to be some context, some container to put nothing in.  Who created, defined that container? Who defined the space to hold “nothing”. If matter can not be created or destroyed, then all matter existed in some form or state. This falls in line with Christianity in that God always existed and will always exist. No matter what “logic” you apply, there had to be some context in which things exist. Clearly, God is at hand here.

What or Who Is Access To God About?

Tuesday, April 8, 2008
By

Access To God is a place where people who are “new” to the true meaning of Christianity can come and learn, share, discuss various life events without feeling stupid for not knowing the ins and outs of the Bible and the concept of Christianity.

Even if you grew up in a church, which we didn’t, and have been in the church for 40,  50 or more years, we are sure there are still things that you can learn. If not, there is plenty that you can share that can help those of us who are not as wise.

We are not preachers, so we welcome anyone to challenge or correct anything we state incorrectly.

The point is, this is a place of love. For God is love. Where we can all come with our emotional, physical, mental, spiritual baggage and know we are still loved by God the Father.

Proof of God’s undying love is evident in how He chose to sacrifice His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Why? So we, who messed up and continue to mess up things, can be saved and live forever spiritually when we leave this place.

So it is our hope that God will use this blog to reduce confusion or any blockage that stops people from being saved (achieving salvation). It is not our goal to suggest we are perfect, that anyone has to be perfect, or that we know everything. We will make mistakes and will share them as they happen on our journey. And we expect to be corrected. We expect to be imperfect.  But as we grow with this blog and as you hopefully grow with us, we will explore things happening today and find relevant examples in the Bible to show that God loves us no matter what. But that we will be held accountable for our sins. But we can confess them by having conversations with God (a.k.a. prayer). And if we are honest with God and ourselves, and we are saved, then we still will live on  in Heaven spiritually for ever. But it is imperative that we are saved!  Why should we be saved? Because Jesus Christ states in the Bible’s John  14:6

6Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

And so our Access To God is Jesus Christ. So we are asking, not for our sake, but for your sake, your family’s sake, and yes God the father’s sake that you believe in your heart and confess out loud that Jesus Christ did exist. That Jesus Christ did die on the cross where he took on the burden of sin and sacrificed himself where he rose on the third day to take his place at the right hand throne of God the Father. Believe in your heart that Jesus died to save us all. If you say this and believe it, then you my brother or sister in Christ are saved! This does not mean you have to be perfect. It does not mean you have to attend church. It does not mean you have to pay tithes! Now there are blessings that come in doing those things. But they are not a requirement for you to be a Christian and to gain eternal spiritual life. Understand this. We recommend you check back with this blog as we cover many aspects of the Bible, we cover miracles that happened and that are happening today, and so much more.

So in short, this site is an avenue for us all to get closer to Jesus Christ who is our ONLY Access To God (the Father). We welcome your participation!

Enjoy!
