I don’t think we really understand how much God loves us. Take a moment to think about it. Are you a parent or grandparent? If not, chances are you will be one day. Maybe you do not have kids and have no desire to have kids. Chances are you own a pet and love them as if they were you child.<\/p>\n
Well, let me ask you, would you be willing to sacrifice (allow your child or pet to die) to save a another? Would you allow your child to die to save someone else in your family? Would you allow your child to die to save a complete stranger? You have to be honest with yourself, that is tough to swallow.<\/p>\n
But God, who is all knowing, loves us so much that He allowed His only begotten Son to suffer in agony on the cross as a sacrifice of love to save all of us from spiritual death that would last for eternity. I don’t believe many of us would be able to repeat the same gesture of affection.<\/p>\n
The Bible mentions this act of sacrifice by God in John 3:16<\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.<\/font><\/p>\n
