{"id":20090,"date":"2017-09-23T14:40:24","date_gmt":"2017-09-23T20:40:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/23\/ecclesiastes-101-20-world-english-bible\/"},"modified":"2017-09-23T14:40:24","modified_gmt":"2017-09-23T20:40:24","slug":"ecclesiastes-101-20-world-english-bible","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/?p=20090","title":{"rendered":"Ecclesiastes 10:1-20 (World English Bible)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-4647651612525789\"; \/* access2God_horiz_4_link_single_post *\/ google_ad_slot = \"7824248799\"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong> Dead flies cause the oil of the perfumer to send forth an evil odor; so does a little folly outweigh wisdom and honor. <\/br><strong>2<\/strong> A wise man&#8217;s heart is at his right hand, but a fool&#8217;s heart at his left. <\/br><strong>3<\/strong> Yes also, when the fool walks by the way, his understanding fails him, and he says to everyone that he is a fool. <\/br><strong>4<\/strong> If the spirit of the ruler rises up against you, don&#8217;t leave your place; for gentleness lays great offenses to rest. <\/br><strong>5<\/strong> There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, the sort of error which proceeds from the ruler. <\/br><strong>6<\/strong> Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in a low place. <\/br><strong>7<\/strong> I have seen servants on horses, and princes walking like servants on the earth. <\/br><strong>8<\/strong> He who digs a pit may fall into it; and whoever breaks through a wall may be bitten by a snake. <\/br><strong>9<\/strong> Whoever carves out stones may be injured by them. Whoever splits wood may be endangered thereby. <\/br><strong>10<\/strong> If the axe is blunt, and one doesn&#8217;t sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength; but skill brings success. <\/br><strong>11<\/strong> If the snake bites before it is charmed, then is there no profit for the charmer&#8217;s tongue. <\/br><strong>12<\/strong> The words of a wise man&#8217;s mouth are gracious; but a fool is swallowed by his own lips. <\/br><strong>13<\/strong> The beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness; and the end of his talk is mischievous madness. <\/br><strong>14<\/strong> A fool also multiplies words. Man doesn&#8217;t know what will be; and that which will be after him, who can tell him? <\/br><strong>15<\/strong> The labor of fools wearies every one of them; for he doesn&#8217;t know how to go to the city. <\/br><strong>16<\/strong> Woe to you, land, when your king is a child, And your princes eat in the morning! <\/br><strong>17<\/strong> Happy are you, land, when your king is the son of nobles, And your princes eat in due season, For strength, and not for drunkenness! <\/br><strong>18<\/strong> By slothfulness the roof sinks in; And through idleness of the hands the house leaks. <\/br><strong>19<\/strong> A feast is made for laughter, And wine makes the life glad; And money is the answer for all things. <\/br><strong>20<\/strong> Don&#8217;t curse the king, no, not in your thoughts;
