{"id":20116,"date":"2017-09-23T14:40:32","date_gmt":"2017-09-23T20:40:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/23\/proverbs-151-33-world-english-bible\/"},"modified":"2017-09-23T14:40:32","modified_gmt":"2017-09-23T20:40:32","slug":"proverbs-151-33-world-english-bible","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/?p=20116","title":{"rendered":"Proverbs 15:1-33 (World English Bible)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-4647651612525789\"; \/* access2God_horiz_4_link_single_post *\/ google_ad_slot = \"7824248799\"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong> A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. <\/br><strong>2<\/strong> The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, But the mouth of fools gush out folly. <\/br><strong>3<\/strong> Yahweh&#8217;s eyes are everywhere, Keeping watch on the evil and the good. <\/br><strong>4<\/strong> A gentle tongue is a tree of life, But deceit in it crushes the spirit. <\/br><strong>5<\/strong> A fool despises his father&#8217;s correction, But he who heeds reproof shows prudence. <\/br><strong>6<\/strong> In the house of the righteous is much treasure, But the income of the wicked brings trouble. <\/br><strong>7<\/strong> The lips of the wise spread knowledge; Not so with the heart of fools. <\/br><strong>8<\/strong> The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, But the prayer of the upright is his delight. <\/br><strong>9<\/strong> The way of the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, But he loves him who follows after righteousness. <\/br><strong>10<\/strong> There is stern discipline for one who forsakes the way: Whoever hates reproof shall die. <\/br><strong>11<\/strong> Sheol and Abaddon are before Yahweh&#8211; How much more then the hearts of the children of men! <\/br><strong>12<\/strong> A scoffer doesn&#8217;t love to be reproved; He will not go to the wise. <\/br><strong>13<\/strong> A glad heart makes a cheerful face; But an aching heart breaks the spirit. <\/br><strong>14<\/strong> The heart of one who has understanding seeks knowledge, But the mouths of fools feed on folly. <\/br><strong>15<\/strong> All the days of the afflicted are wretched, But one who has a cheerful heart enjoys a continual feast. <\/br><strong>16<\/strong> Better is little, with the fear of Yahweh, Than great treasure with trouble. <\/br><strong>17<\/strong> Better is a dinner of herbs, where love is, Than a fattened calf with hatred. <\/br><strong>18<\/strong> A wrathful man stirs up contention, But one who is slow to anger appeases strife. <\/br><strong>19<\/strong> The way of the sluggard is like a thorn patch, But the path of the upright is a highway. <\/br><strong>20<\/strong> A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish man despises his mother. <\/br><strong>21<\/strong> Folly is joy to one who is void of wisdom, But a man of understanding keeps his way straight. <\/br><strong>22<\/strong> Where there is no counsel, plans fail; But in a multitude of counselors they are established. <\/br><strong>23<\/strong> Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth. How good is a word at the right time! <\/br><strong>24<\/strong> The path of life leads upward for the wise, To keep him from going downward to Sheol. <\/br><strong>25<\/strong> Yahweh will uproot the house of the proud, But he will keep the widow&#8217;s borders intact. <\/br><strong>26<\/strong> Yahweh detests the thoughts of the wicked, But the thoughts of the pure are pleasing. <\/br><strong>27<\/strong> He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, But he who hates bribes will live. <\/br><strong>28<\/strong> The heart of the righteous weighs answers, But the mouth of the wicked gushes out evil. <\/br><strong>29<\/strong> Yahweh is far from the wicked, But he hears the prayer of the righteous. <\/br><strong>30<\/strong> The light of the eyes rejoices the heart. Good news gives health to the bones. <\/br><strong>31<\/strong> The ear that listens to reproof lives, And will be at home among the wise. <\/br><strong>32<\/strong> He who refuses correction despises his own soul, But he who listens to reproof gets understanding. <\/br><strong>33<\/strong> The fear of Yahweh teaches wisdom.
