{"id":20314,"date":"2017-09-23T14:43:44","date_gmt":"2017-09-23T20:43:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/23\/job-91-35-world-english-bible\/"},"modified":"2017-09-23T14:43:44","modified_gmt":"2017-09-23T20:43:44","slug":"job-91-35-world-english-bible","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/?p=20314","title":{"rendered":"Job 9:1-35 (World English Bible)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-4647651612525789\"; \/* access2God_horiz_4_link_single_post *\/ google_ad_slot = \"7824248799\"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong> Then Job answered, <\/br><strong>2<\/strong> &#8220;Truly I know that it is so, But how can man be just with God? <\/br><strong>3<\/strong> If he is pleased to contend with him, He can&#8217;t answer him one time in a thousand. <\/br><strong>4<\/strong> God who is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: Who has hardened himself against him, and prospered? <\/br><strong>5<\/strong> Who removes the mountains, and they don&#8217;t know it, When he overturns them in his anger <\/br><strong>6<\/strong> Who shakes the earth out of its place; The pillars of it tremble; <\/br><strong>7<\/strong> Who commands the sun, and it doesn&#8217;t rise, And seals up the stars; <\/br><strong>8<\/strong> Who alone stretches out the heavens, Treads on the waves of the sea; <\/br><strong>9<\/strong> Who makes the Bear, Orion, and the Pleiades, And the chambers of the south; <\/br><strong>10<\/strong> Who does great things past finding out, Yes, marvelous things without number. <\/br><strong>11<\/strong> Behold, he goes by me, and I don&#8217;t see him. He passes on also, but I don&#8217;t perceive him. <\/br><strong>12<\/strong> Behold, he snatches away; who can hinder him? Who will ask him, &#8216;What are you doing?&#8217; <\/br><strong>13<\/strong> &#8220;God will not withdraw his anger; The helpers of Rahab stoop under him. <\/br><strong>14<\/strong> How much less shall I answer him, Choose my words to argue with him? <\/br><strong>15<\/strong> Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer. I would make supplication to my judge. <\/br><strong>16<\/strong> If I had called, and he had answered me, Yet would I not believe that he listened to my voice. <\/br><strong>17<\/strong> For he breaks me with a tempest, Multiplies my wounds without cause. <\/br><strong>18<\/strong> He will not allow me to take my breath, But fills me with bitterness. <\/br><strong>19<\/strong> If it is a matter of strength, behold, he is mighty! If of justice, &#8216;Who,&#8217; says he, &#8216;will summon me?&#8217; <\/br><strong>20<\/strong> Though I am righteous, my own mouth shall condemn me. Though I am blameless, it shall prove me perverse. <\/br><strong>21<\/strong> I am blameless. I don&#8217;t regard myself. I despise my life. <\/br><strong>22<\/strong> &#8220;It is all the same. Therefore I say, He destroys the blameless and the wicked. <\/br><strong>23<\/strong> If the scourge kills suddenly, He will mock at the trial of the innocent. <\/br><strong>24<\/strong> The earth is given into the hand of the wicked. He covers the faces of the judges of it. If not he, then who is it? <\/br><strong>25<\/strong> &#8220;Now my days are swifter than a runner. They flee away, they see no good, <\/br><strong>26<\/strong> They have passed away as the swift ships, As the eagle that swoops on the prey. <\/br><strong>27<\/strong> If I say, &#8216;I will forget my complaint, I will put off my sad face, and cheer up;&#8217; <\/br><strong>28<\/strong> I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that you will not hold me innocent. <\/br><strong>29<\/strong> I shall be condemned; Why then do I labor in vain? <\/br><strong>30<\/strong> If I wash myself with snow, And cleanse my hands with lye, <\/br><strong>31<\/strong> Yet you will plunge me in the ditch. My own clothes shall abhor me. <\/br><strong>32<\/strong> For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, That we should come together in judgment. <\/br><strong>33<\/strong> There is no umpire between us, That might lay his hand on us both. <\/br><strong>34<\/strong> Let him take his rod away from me, Let his terror not make me afraid: <\/br><strong>35<\/strong> Then I would speak,
