{"id":21505,"date":"2017-09-23T19:12:54","date_gmt":"2017-09-24T01:12:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/23\/proverbs-221-29-youngs-literal-translation-bible\/"},"modified":"2017-09-23T19:12:54","modified_gmt":"2017-09-24T01:12:54","slug":"proverbs-221-29-youngs-literal-translation-bible","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/?p=21505","title":{"rendered":"Proverbs 22:1-29 (Young&#8217;s Literal Translation Bible)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-4647651612525789\"; \/* access2God_horiz_4_link_single_post *\/ google_ad_slot = \"7824248799\"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong> A name is chosen rather than much wealth, Than silver and than gold &#8212; good grace. <\/br><strong>2<\/strong> Rich and poor have met together, The Maker of them all `is&#8217; Jehovah. <\/br><strong>3<\/strong> The prudent hath seen the evil, and is hidden, And the simple have passed on, and are punished. <\/br><strong>4<\/strong> The end of humility `is&#8217; the fear of Jehovah, Riches, and honour, and life. <\/br><strong>5<\/strong> Thorns &#8212; snares `are&#8217; in the way of the perverse, Whoso is keeping his soul is far from them. <\/br><strong>6<\/strong> Give instruction to a youth about his way, Even when he is old he turneth not from it. <\/br><strong>7<\/strong> The rich over the poor ruleth, And a servant `is&#8217; the borrower to the lender. <\/br><strong>8<\/strong> Whoso is sowing perverseness reapeth sorrow, And the rod of his anger weareth out. <\/br><strong>9<\/strong> The good of eye &#8212; he is blessed, For he hath given of his bread to the poor. <\/br><strong>10<\/strong> Cast out a scorner &#8212; and contention goeth out, And strife and shame cease. <\/br><strong>11<\/strong> Whoso is loving cleanness of heart, Grace `are&#8217; his lips, a king `is&#8217; his friend. <\/br><strong>12<\/strong> The eyes of Jehovah have kept knowledge, And He overthroweth the words of the treacherous. <\/br><strong>13<\/strong> The slothful hath said, `A lion `is&#8217; without, In the midst of the broad places I am slain.&#8217; <\/br><strong>14<\/strong> A deep pit `is&#8217; the mouth of strange women, The abhorred of Jehovah falleth there. <\/br><strong>15<\/strong> Folly is bound up in the heart of a youth, The rod of chastisement putteth it far from him. <\/br><strong>16<\/strong> He is oppressing the poor to multiply to him, He is giving to the rich &#8212; only to want. <\/br><strong>17<\/strong> Incline thine ear, and hear words of the wise, And thy heart set to my knowledge, <\/br><strong>18<\/strong> For they are pleasant when thou dost keep them in thy heart, They are prepared together for thy lips. <\/br><strong>19<\/strong> That thy trust may be in Jehovah, I caused thee to know to-day, even thou. <\/br><strong>20<\/strong> Have I not written to thee three times With counsels and knowledge? <\/br><strong>21<\/strong> To cause thee to know the certainty of sayings of truth, To return sayings of truth to those sending thee. <\/br><strong>22<\/strong> Rob not the poor because he `is&#8217; poor, And bruise not the afflicted in the gate. <\/br><strong>23<\/strong> For Jehovah pleadeth their cause, And hath spoiled the soul of their spoilers. <\/br><strong>24<\/strong> Shew not thyself friendly with an angry man, And with a man of fury go not in, <\/br><strong>25<\/strong> Lest thou learn his paths, And have received a snare to thy soul. <\/br><strong>26<\/strong> Be not thou among those striking hands, Among sureties `for&#8217; burdens. <\/br><strong>27<\/strong> If thou hast nothing to pay, Why doth he take thy bed from under thee? <\/br><strong>28<\/strong> Remove not a border of olden times, That thy fathers have made. <\/br><strong>29<\/strong> Hast thou seen a man speedy in his business?
