{"id":21526,"date":"2017-09-23T19:13:01","date_gmt":"2017-09-24T01:13:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/23\/proverbs-11-33-youngs-literal-translation-bible\/"},"modified":"2017-09-23T19:13:01","modified_gmt":"2017-09-24T01:13:01","slug":"proverbs-11-33-youngs-literal-translation-bible","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/?p=21526","title":{"rendered":"Proverbs 1:1-33 (Young&#8217;s Literal Translation Bible)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-4647651612525789\"; \/* access2God_horiz_4_link_single_post *\/ google_ad_slot = \"7824248799\"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong> Proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel: <\/br><strong>2<\/strong> For knowing wisdom and instruction, For understanding sayings of intelligence, <\/br><strong>3<\/strong> For receiving the instruction of wisdom, Righteousness, judgment, and uprightness, <\/br><strong>4<\/strong> For giving to simple ones &#8212; prudence, To a youth &#8212; knowledge and discretion. <\/br><strong>5<\/strong> (The wise doth hear and increaseth learning, And the intelligent doth obtain counsels.) <\/br><strong>6<\/strong> For understanding a proverb and its sweetness, Words of the wise and their acute sayings. <\/br><strong>7<\/strong> Fear of Jehovah `is&#8217; a beginning of knowledge, Wisdom and instruction fools have despised! <\/br><strong>8<\/strong> Hear, my son, the instruction of thy father, And leave not the law of thy mother, <\/br><strong>9<\/strong> For a graceful wreath `are&#8217; they to thy head, And chains to thy neck. <\/br><strong>10<\/strong> My son, if sinners entice thee be not willing. <\/br><strong>11<\/strong> If they say, `Come with us, we lay wait for blood, We watch secretly for the innocent without cause, <\/br><strong>12<\/strong> We swallow them as Sheol &#8212; alive, And whole &#8212; as those going down `to&#8217; the pit, <\/br><strong>13<\/strong> Every precious substance we find, We fill our houses `with&#8217; spoil, <\/br><strong>14<\/strong> Thy lot thou dost cast among us, One purse is &#8212; to all of us.&#8217; <\/br><strong>15<\/strong> My son! go not in the way with them, Withhold thy foot from their path, <\/br><strong>16<\/strong> For their feet to evil do run, And they haste to shed blood. <\/br><strong>17<\/strong> Surely in vain is the net spread out before the eyes of any bird. <\/br><strong>18<\/strong> And they for their own blood lay wait, They watch secretly for their own lives. <\/br><strong>19<\/strong> So `are&#8217; the paths of every gainer of dishonest gain, The life of its owners it taketh. <\/br><strong>20<\/strong> Wisdom in an out-place crieth aloud, In broad places she giveth forth her voice, <\/br><strong>21<\/strong> At the head of the multitudes she calleth, In the openings of the gates, In the city her sayings she saith: <\/br><strong>22<\/strong> `Till when, ye simple, do ye love simplicity? And have scorners their scorning desired? And do fools hate knowledge? <\/br><strong>23<\/strong> Turn back at my reproof, lo, I pour forth to you my spirit, I make known my words with you. <\/br><strong>24<\/strong> Because I have called, and ye refuse, I stretched out my hand, and none is attending, <\/br><strong>25<\/strong> And ye slight all my counsel, And my reproof ye have not desired. <\/br><strong>26<\/strong> I also in your calamity do laugh, I deride when your fear cometh, <\/br><strong>27<\/strong> When your fear cometh as destruction, And your calamity as a hurricane doth come, When on you come adversity and distress. <\/br><strong>28<\/strong> Then they call me, and I do not answer, They seek me earnestly, and find me not. <\/br><strong>29<\/strong> Because that they have hated knowledge, And the fear of Jehovah have not chosen. <\/br><strong>30<\/strong> They have not consented to my counsel, They have despised all my reproof, <\/br><strong>31<\/strong> And they eat of the fruit of their way, And from their own counsels they are filled. <\/br><strong>32<\/strong> For the turning of the simple slayeth them, And the security of the foolish destroyeth them. <\/br><strong>33<\/strong> And whoso is hearkening
