{"id":22192,"date":"2017-09-30T14:24:55","date_gmt":"2017-09-30T20:24:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/30\/1-peter-41-19-darby-english-bible\/"},"modified":"2017-09-30T14:24:55","modified_gmt":"2017-09-30T20:24:55","slug":"1-peter-41-19-darby-english-bible","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/?p=22192","title":{"rendered":"1 Peter 4:1-19 (Darby English Bible)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-4647651612525789\"; \/* access2God_horiz_4_link_single_post *\/ google_ad_slot = \"7824248799\"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong> Christ, then, having suffered for us in [the] flesh, do *ye* also arm yourselves with the same mind; for he that has suffered in [the] flesh has done with sin, <\/br><strong>2<\/strong> no longer to live the rest of [his] time in [the] flesh to men&#8217;s lusts, but to God&#8217;s will. <\/br><strong>3<\/strong> For the time past [is] sufficient [for us] to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, walking in lasciviousness, lusts, wine-drinking, revels, drinkings, and unhallowed idolatries. <\/br><strong>4<\/strong> Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with [them] to the same sink of corruption, speaking injuriously [of you]; <\/br><strong>5<\/strong> who shall render account to him who is ready to judge [the] living and [the] dead. <\/br><strong>6<\/strong> For to this [end] were the glad tidings preached to [the] dead also, that they might be judged, as regards men, after [the] flesh, but live, as regards God, after [the] Spirit. <\/br><strong>7<\/strong> But the end of all things is drawn nigh: be sober therefore, and be watchful unto prayers; <\/br><strong>8<\/strong> but before all things having fervent love among yourselves, because love covers a multitude of sins; <\/br><strong>9<\/strong> hospitable one to another, without murmuring; <\/br><strong>10<\/strong> each according as he has received a gift, ministering it to one another, as good stewards of [the] various grace of God. <\/br><strong>11<\/strong> If any one speak &#8212; as oracles of God; if any one minister &#8212; as of strength which God supplies; that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory and the might for the ages of ages. Amen. <\/br><strong>12<\/strong> Beloved, take not [as] strange the fire [of persecution] which has taken place amongst you for [your] trial, as if a strange thing was happening to you; <\/br><strong>13<\/strong> but as ye have share in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, that in the revelation of his glory also ye may rejoice with exultation. <\/br><strong>14<\/strong> If ye are reproached in [the] name of Christ, blessed [are ye]; for the [Spirit] of glory and the Spirit of God rests upon you: [on their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified.] <\/br><strong>15<\/strong> Let none of you suffer indeed as murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or as overseer of other people&#8217;s matters; <\/br><strong>16<\/strong> but if as a christian, let him not be ashamed, but glorify God in this name. <\/br><strong>17<\/strong> For the time of having the judgment begin from the house of God [is come];
