{"id":22218,"date":"2017-09-30T14:25:02","date_gmt":"2017-09-30T20:25:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/30\/2-timothy-41-22-darby-english-bible\/"},"modified":"2017-09-30T14:25:02","modified_gmt":"2017-09-30T20:25:02","slug":"2-timothy-41-22-darby-english-bible","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/?p=22218","title":{"rendered":"2 Timothy 4:1-22 (Darby English Bible)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-4647651612525789\"; \/* access2God_horiz_4_link_single_post *\/ google_ad_slot = \"7824248799\"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong> I testify before God and Christ Jesus, who is about to judge living and dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom, <\/br><strong>2<\/strong> proclaim the word; be urgent in season [and] out of season, convict, rebuke, encourage, with all longsuffering and doctrine. <\/br><strong>3<\/strong> For the time shall be when they will not bear sound teaching; but according to their own lusts will heap up to themselves teachers, having an itching ear; <\/br><strong>4<\/strong> and they will turn away their ear from the truth, and will have turned aside to fables. <\/br><strong>5<\/strong> But *thou*, be sober in all things, bear evils, do [the] work of an evangelist, fill up the full measure of thy ministry. <\/br><strong>6<\/strong> For *I* am already being poured out, and the time of my release is come. <\/br><strong>7<\/strong> I have combated the good combat, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. <\/br><strong>8<\/strong> Henceforth the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will render to me in that day; but not only to me, but also to all who love his appearing. <\/br><strong>9<\/strong> Use diligence to come to me quickly; <\/br><strong>10<\/strong> for Demas has forsaken me, having loved the present age, and is gone to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. <\/br><strong>11<\/strong> Luke alone is with me. Take Mark, and bring [him] with thyself, for he is serviceable to me for ministry. <\/br><strong>12<\/strong> But Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus. <\/br><strong>13<\/strong> The cloak which I left behind [me] in Troas at Carpus&#8217;s, bring when thou comest, and the books, especially the parchments. <\/br><strong>14<\/strong> Alexander the smith did many evil things against me. The Lord will render to him according to his works. <\/br><strong>15<\/strong> Against whom be *thou* also on thy guard, for he has greatly withstood our words. <\/br><strong>16<\/strong> At my first defence no man stood with me, but all deserted me. May it not be imputed to them. <\/br><strong>17<\/strong> But the Lord stood with [me], and gave me power, that through me the proclamation might be fully made, and all [those of] the nations should hear; and I was delivered out of the lion&#8217;s mouth. <\/br><strong>18<\/strong> The Lord shall deliver me from every wicked work, and shall preserve [me] for his heavenly kingdom; to whom [be] glory for the ages of ages. Amen. <\/br><strong>19<\/strong> Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the house of Onesiphorus. <\/br><strong>20<\/strong> Erastus remained in Corinth, but Trophimus I left behind in Miletus sick. <\/br><strong>21<\/strong> Use diligence to come before winter. Eubulus salutes thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and the brethren all. <\/br><strong>22<\/strong> The Lord Jesus Christ [be] with your spirit.
