{"id":23404,"date":"2017-09-30T15:17:28","date_gmt":"2017-09-30T21:17:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/30\/philemon-11-25-bible-in-basic-english\/"},"modified":"2017-09-30T15:17:28","modified_gmt":"2017-09-30T21:17:28","slug":"philemon-11-25-bible-in-basic-english","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/?p=23404","title":{"rendered":"Philemon 1:1-25 (Bible in Basic English)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-4647651612525789\"; \/* access2God_horiz_4_link_single_post *\/ google_ad_slot = \"7824248799\"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong> Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our dear helper in the faith, <\/br><strong>2<\/strong> And to Apphia, our sister, and to Archippus, our brother in God&#8217;s army, and to the church in your house: <\/br><strong>3<\/strong> Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. <\/br><strong>4<\/strong> I give praise to God at all times and make prayer for you, <\/br><strong>5<\/strong> Hearing of the love and the faith which you have to the Lord Jesus and to all the saints; <\/br><strong>6<\/strong> That the faith which you have in common with them may be working with power, in the knowledge of every good thing in you, for Christ. <\/br><strong>7<\/strong> For I had great joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been made strong again through you, brother. <\/br><strong>8<\/strong> And so, though I might, in the name of Christ, give you orders to do what is right, <\/br><strong>9<\/strong> Still, because of love, in place of an order, I make a request to you, I, Paul, an old man and now a prisoner of Christ Jesus: <\/br><strong>10<\/strong> My request is for my child Onesimus, the child of my chains, <\/br><strong>11<\/strong> Who in the past was of no profit to you, but now is of profit to you and to me: <\/br><strong>12<\/strong> Whom I have sent back to you, him who is my very heart: <\/br><strong>13<\/strong> Though my desire was to keep him with me, to be my servant in the chains of the good news, in your place: <\/br><strong>14<\/strong> But without your approval I would do nothing; so that your good works might not be forced, but done freely from your heart. <\/br><strong>15<\/strong> For it is possible that for this reason he was parted from you for a time, so that you might have him for ever; <\/br><strong>16<\/strong> No longer as a servant, but more than a servant, a brother, very dear to me specially, but much more to you, in the flesh as well as in the Lord. <\/br><strong>17<\/strong> If then you take me to be your friend and brother, take him in as myself. <\/br><strong>18<\/strong> If he has done you any wrong or is in debt to you for anything, put it to my account. <\/br><strong>19<\/strong> I, Paul, writing this myself, say, I will make payment to you: and I do not say to you that you are in debt to me even for your life. <\/br><strong>20<\/strong> So brother, let me have joy of you in the Lord: give new life to my heart in Christ. <\/br><strong>21<\/strong> Being certain that you will do my desire, I am writing to you, in the knowledge that you will do even more than I say. <\/br><strong>22<\/strong> And make a room ready for me; for I am hoping that through your prayers I will be given to you. <\/br><strong>23<\/strong> Epaphras, my brother-prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends you his love; <\/br><strong>24<\/strong> And so do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my brother-workers. <\/br><strong>25<\/strong> The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
