{"id":23646,"date":"2017-09-30T15:19:47","date_gmt":"2017-09-30T21:19:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/30\/jonah-21-11-bible-in-basic-english\/"},"modified":"2017-09-30T15:19:47","modified_gmt":"2017-09-30T21:19:47","slug":"jonah-21-11-bible-in-basic-english","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/?p=23646","title":{"rendered":"Jonah 2:1-11 (Bible in Basic English)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-4647651612525789\"; \/* access2God_horiz_4_link_single_post *\/ google_ad_slot = \"7824248799\"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong> And the Lord made ready a great fish to take Jonah into its mouth; and Jonah was inside the fish for three days and three nights. <\/br><strong>2<\/strong> Then Jonah made prayer to the Lord his God from the inside of the fish, and said, <\/br><strong>3<\/strong> In my trouble I was crying to the Lord, and he gave me an answer; out of the deepest underworld I sent up a cry, and you gave ear to my voice. <\/br><strong>4<\/strong> For you have put me down into the deep, into the heart of the sea; and the river was round about me; all your waves and your rolling waters went over me. <\/br><strong>5<\/strong> And I said, I have been sent away from before your eyes; how may I ever again see your holy Temple? <\/br><strong>6<\/strong> The waters were circling round me, even to the neck; the deep was about me; the sea-grass was twisted round my head. <\/br><strong>7<\/strong> I went down to the bases of the mountains; as for the earth, her walls were about me for ever: but you have taken up my life from the underworld, O Lord my God. <\/br><strong>8<\/strong> When my soul in me was overcome, I kept the memory of the Lord: and my prayer came in to you, into your holy Temple. <\/br><strong>9<\/strong> The worshippers of false gods have given up their only hope. <\/br><strong>10<\/strong> But I will make an offering to you with the voice of praise; I will give effect to my oaths.
