{"id":23664,"date":"2017-09-30T15:19:54","date_gmt":"2017-09-30T21:19:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/30\/hosea-111-11-bible-in-basic-english\/"},"modified":"2017-09-30T15:19:54","modified_gmt":"2017-09-30T21:19:54","slug":"hosea-111-11-bible-in-basic-english","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/?p=23664","title":{"rendered":"Hosea 11:1-11 (Bible in Basic English)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-4647651612525789\"; \/* access2God_horiz_4_link_single_post *\/ google_ad_slot = \"7824248799\"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong> When Israel was a child he was dear to me; and I took my son out of Egypt. <\/br><strong>2<\/strong> When I sent for them, then they went away from me; they made offerings to the Baals, burning perfumes to images. <\/br><strong>3<\/strong> But I was guiding Ephraim&#8217;s footsteps; I took them up in my arms, but they were not conscious that I was ready to make them well. <\/br><strong>4<\/strong> I made them come after me with the cords of a man, with the bands of love; I was to them as one who took the yoke from off their mouths, putting meat before them. <\/br><strong>5<\/strong> He will go back to the land of Egypt and the Assyrian will be his king, because they would not come back to me. <\/br><strong>6<\/strong> And the sword will go through his towns, wasting his children and causing destruction because of their evil designs. <\/br><strong>7<\/strong> My people are given up to sinning against me; though their voice goes up on high, no one will be lifting them up. <\/br><strong>8<\/strong> How may I give you up, O Ephraim? how may I be your saviour, O Israel? how may I make you like Admah? how may I do to you as I did to Zeboim? My heart is turned in me, it is soft with pity. <\/br><strong>9<\/strong> I will not put into effect the heat of my wrath; I will not again send destruction on Ephraim; for I am God and not man, the Holy One among you; I will not put an end to you. <\/br><strong>10<\/strong> They will go after the Lord; his cry will be like that of a lion; his cry will be loud, and the children will come from the west, shaking with fear;
