{"id":24082,"date":"2017-09-30T15:23:36","date_gmt":"2017-09-30T21:23:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/30\/job-191-29-bible-in-basic-english\/"},"modified":"2017-09-30T15:23:36","modified_gmt":"2017-09-30T21:23:36","slug":"job-191-29-bible-in-basic-english","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/?p=24082","title":{"rendered":"Job 19:1-29 (Bible in Basic English)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-4647651612525789\"; \/* access2God_horiz_4_link_single_post *\/ google_ad_slot = \"7824248799\"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong> And Job made answer and said, <\/br><strong>2<\/strong> How long will you make my life bitter, crushing me with words? <\/br><strong>3<\/strong> Ten times now you have made sport of me; it gives you no sense of shame to do me wrong. <\/br><strong>4<\/strong> And, truly, if I have been in error, the effect of my error is only on myself. <\/br><strong>5<\/strong> If you make yourselves great against me, using my punishment as an argument against me, <\/br><strong>6<\/strong> Be certain that it is God who has done me wrong, and has taken me in his net. <\/br><strong>7<\/strong> Truly, I make an outcry against the violent man, but there is no answer: I give a cry for help, but no one takes up my cause. <\/br><strong>8<\/strong> My way is walled up by him so that I may not go by: he has made my roads dark. <\/br><strong>9<\/strong> He has put off my glory from me, and taken the crown from my head. <\/br><strong>10<\/strong> I am broken down by him on every side, and I am gone; my hope is uprooted like a tree. <\/br><strong>11<\/strong> His wrath is burning against me, and I am to him as one of his haters. <\/br><strong>12<\/strong> His armies come on together, they make their road high against me, and put up their tents round mine. <\/br><strong>13<\/strong> He has taken my brothers far away from me; they have seen my fate and have become strange to me. <\/br><strong>14<\/strong> My relations and my near friends have given me up, and those living in my house have put me out of their minds. <\/br><strong>15<\/strong> I am strange to my women-servants, and seem to them as one from another country. <\/br><strong>16<\/strong> At my cry my servant gives me no answer, and I have to make a prayer to him. <\/br><strong>17<\/strong> My breath is strange to my wife, and I am disgusting to the offspring of my mother&#8217;s body. <\/br><strong>18<\/strong> Even young children have no respect for me; when I get up their backs are turned on me. <\/br><strong>19<\/strong> All the men of my circle keep away from me; and those dear to me are turned against me. <\/br><strong>20<\/strong> My bones are joined to my skin, and I have got away with my flesh in my teeth. <\/br><strong>21<\/strong> Have pity on me, have pity on me, O my friends! for the hand of God is on me. <\/br><strong>22<\/strong> Why are you cruel to me, like God, for ever saying evil against me? <\/br><strong>23<\/strong> If only my words might be recorded! if they might be put in writing in a book! <\/br><strong>24<\/strong> And with an iron pen and lead be cut into the rock for ever! <\/br><strong>25<\/strong> But I am certain that he who will take up my cause is living, and that in time to come he will take his place on the dust; <\/br><strong>26<\/strong> And &#8230; without my flesh I will see God; <\/br><strong>27<\/strong> Whom I will see on my side, and not as one strange to me. My heart is broken with desire. <\/br><strong>28<\/strong> If you say, How cruel we will be to him! because the root of sin is clearly in him: <\/br><strong>29<\/strong> Be in fear of the sword, for
