{"id":25069,"date":"2017-09-30T15:57:35","date_gmt":"2017-09-30T21:57:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/30\/proverbs-291-27-american-standard-version\/"},"modified":"2017-09-30T15:57:35","modified_gmt":"2017-09-30T21:57:35","slug":"proverbs-291-27-american-standard-version","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/?p=25069","title":{"rendered":"Proverbs 29:1-27 (American Standard Version)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-4647651612525789\"; \/* access2God_horiz_4_link_single_post *\/ google_ad_slot = \"7824248799\"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong> He that being often reproved hardeneth his neck Shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. <\/br><strong>2<\/strong> When the righteous are increased, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man beareth rule, the people sigh. <\/br><strong>3<\/strong> Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father; But he that keepeth company with harlots wasteth `his&#8217; substance. <\/br><strong>4<\/strong> The king by justice establisheth the land; But he that exacteth gifts overthroweth it. <\/br><strong>5<\/strong> A man that flattereth his neighbor Spreadeth a net for his steps. <\/br><strong>6<\/strong> In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare; But the righteous doth sing and rejoice. <\/br><strong>7<\/strong> The righteous taketh knowledge of the cause of the poor; The wicked hath not understanding to know `it&#8217;. <\/br><strong>8<\/strong> Scoffers set a city in a flame; But wise men turn away wrath. <\/br><strong>9<\/strong> If a wise man hath a controversy with a foolish man, Whether he be angry or laugh, there will be no rest. <\/br><strong>10<\/strong> The bloodthirsty hate him that is perfect; And as for the upright, they seek his life. <\/br><strong>11<\/strong> A fool uttereth all his anger; But a wise man keepeth it back and stilleth it. <\/br><strong>12<\/strong> If a ruler hearkeneth to falsehood, All his servants are wicked. <\/br><strong>13<\/strong> The poor man and the oppressor meet together; Jehovah lighteneth the eyes of them both. <\/br><strong>14<\/strong> The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, His throne shall be established for ever. <\/br><strong>15<\/strong> The rod and reproof give wisdom; But a child left to himself causeth shame to his mother. <\/br><strong>16<\/strong> When the wicked are increased, transgression increaseth; But the righteous shall look upon their fall. <\/br><strong>17<\/strong> Correct thy son, and he will give thee rest; Yea, he will give delight unto thy soul. <\/br><strong>18<\/strong> Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; But he that keepeth the law, happy is he. <\/br><strong>19<\/strong> A servant will not be corrected by words; For though he understand, he will not give heed. <\/br><strong>20<\/strong> Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? There is more hope of a fool than of him. <\/br><strong>21<\/strong> He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child Shall have him become a son at the last. <\/br><strong>22<\/strong> An angry man stirreth up strife, And a wrathful man aboundeth in transgression. <\/br><strong>23<\/strong> A man&#8217;s pride shall bring him low; But he that is of a lowly spirit shall obtain honor. <\/br><strong>24<\/strong> Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul; He heareth the adjuration and uttereth nothing. <\/br><strong>25<\/strong> The fear of man bringeth a snare; But whoso putteth his trust in Jehovah shall be safe. <\/br><strong>26<\/strong> Many seek the ruler&#8217;s favor; But a man&#8217;s judgment `cometh&#8217; from Jehovah. <\/br><strong>27<\/strong> An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous; And he that is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked. <\/br><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\n    google_ad_client =
