{"id":25084,"date":"2017-09-30T15:57:40","date_gmt":"2017-09-30T21:57:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/30\/proverbs-141-35-american-standard-version\/"},"modified":"2017-09-30T15:57:40","modified_gmt":"2017-09-30T21:57:40","slug":"proverbs-141-35-american-standard-version","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/?p=25084","title":{"rendered":"Proverbs 14:1-35 (American Standard Version)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-4647651612525789\"; \/* access2God_horiz_4_link_single_post *\/ google_ad_slot = \"7824248799\"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong> Every wise woman buildeth her house; But the foolish plucketh it down with her own hands. <\/br><strong>2<\/strong> He that walketh in his uprightness feareth Jehovah; But he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him. <\/br><strong>3<\/strong> In the mouth of the foolish is a rod for `his&#8217; pride; But the lips of the wise shall preserve them. <\/br><strong>4<\/strong> Where no oxen are, the crib is clean; But much increase is by the strength of the ox. <\/br><strong>5<\/strong> A faithful witness will not lie; But a false witness uttereth lies. <\/br><strong>6<\/strong> A scoffer seeketh wisdom, and `findeth it&#8217; not; But knowledge is easy unto him that hath understanding. <\/br><strong>7<\/strong> Go into the presence of a foolish man, And thou shalt not perceive `in him&#8217; the lips of knowledge. <\/br><strong>8<\/strong> The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way; But the folly of fools is deceit. <\/br><strong>9<\/strong> A trespass-offering mocketh fools; But among the upright there is good will. <\/br><strong>10<\/strong> The heart knoweth its own bitterness; And a stranger doth not intermeddle with its joy. <\/br><strong>11<\/strong> The house of the wicked shall be overthrown; But the tent of the upright shall flourish. <\/br><strong>12<\/strong> There is a way which seemeth right unto a man; But the end thereof are the ways of death. <\/br><strong>13<\/strong> Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; And the end of mirth is heaviness. <\/br><strong>14<\/strong> The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways; And a good man `shall be satisfied&#8217; from himself. <\/br><strong>15<\/strong> The simple believeth every word; But the prudent man looketh well to his going. <\/br><strong>16<\/strong> A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil; But the fool beareth himself insolently, and is confident. <\/br><strong>17<\/strong> He that is soon angry will deal foolishly; And a man of wicked devices is hated. <\/br><strong>18<\/strong> The simple inherit folly; But the prudent are crowned with knowledge. <\/br><strong>19<\/strong> The evil bow down before the good; And the wicked, at the gates of the righteous. <\/br><strong>20<\/strong> The poor is hated even of his own neighbor; But the rich hath many friends. <\/br><strong>21<\/strong> He that despiseth his neighbor sinneth; But he that hath pity on the poor, happy is he. <\/br><strong>22<\/strong> Do they not err that devise evil? But mercy and truth `shall be to&#8217; them that devise good. <\/br><strong>23<\/strong> In all labor there is profit; But the talk of the lips `tendeth&#8217; only to penury. <\/br><strong>24<\/strong> The crown of the wise is their riches; `But&#8217; the folly of fools is `only&#8217; folly. <\/br><strong>25<\/strong> A true witness delivereth souls; But he that uttereth lies `causeth&#8217; deceit. <\/br><strong>26<\/strong> In the fear of Jehovah is strong confidence; And his children shall have a place of refuge. <\/br><strong>27<\/strong> The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life, That one may depart from the snares of death. <\/br><strong>28<\/strong> In the multitude of people is the king&#8217;s glory; But in the want of people is the destruction of the prince. <\/br><strong>29<\/strong> He that is slow to anger is of great understanding; But he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. <\/br><strong>30<\/strong> A tranquil heart is the life of the flesh; But envy is the rottenness of the bones. <\/br><strong>31<\/strong> He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker; But he that hath mercy on the needy honoreth him. <\/br><strong>32<\/strong> The wicked is thrust down in his evil-doing; But the righteous hath a refuge in his death. <\/br><strong>33<\/strong> Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding; But `that which is&#8217; in the inward part of fools is made known. <\/br><strong>34<\/strong> Righteousness exalteth a nation;
