{"id":25254,"date":"2017-09-30T15:59:29","date_gmt":"2017-09-30T21:59:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/30\/job-361-33-american-standard-version\/"},"modified":"2017-09-30T15:59:29","modified_gmt":"2017-09-30T21:59:29","slug":"job-361-33-american-standard-version","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/?p=25254","title":{"rendered":"Job 36:1-33 (American Standard Version)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-4647651612525789\"; \/* access2God_horiz_4_link_single_post *\/ google_ad_slot = \"7824248799\"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong> Elihu also proceeded, and said, <\/br><strong>2<\/strong> Suffer me a little, and I will show thee; For I have yet somewhat to say on God&#8217;s behalf. <\/br><strong>3<\/strong> I will fetch my knowledge from afar, And will ascribe righteousness to my Maker. <\/br><strong>4<\/strong> For truly my words are not false: One that is perfect in knowledge is with thee. <\/br><strong>5<\/strong> Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: He is mighty in strength of understanding. <\/br><strong>6<\/strong> He preserveth not the life of the wicked, But giveth to the afflicted `their&#8217; right. <\/br><strong>7<\/strong> He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: But with kings upon the throne He setteth them for ever, and they are exalted. <\/br><strong>8<\/strong> And if they be bound in fetters, And be taken in the cords of afflictions; <\/br><strong>9<\/strong> Then he showeth them their work, And their transgressions, that they have behaved themselves proudly. <\/br><strong>10<\/strong> He openeth also their ear to instruction, And commandeth that they return from iniquity. <\/br><strong>11<\/strong> If they hearken and serve `him&#8217;, They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures. <\/br><strong>12<\/strong> But if they hearken not, they shall perish by the sword, And they shall die without knowledge. <\/br><strong>13<\/strong> But they that are godless in heart lay up anger: They cry not for help when he bindeth them. <\/br><strong>14<\/strong> They die in youth, And their life `perisheth&#8217; among the unclean. <\/br><strong>15<\/strong> He delivereth the afflicted by their affliction, And openeth their ear in oppression. <\/br><strong>16<\/strong> Yea, he would have allured thee out of distress Into a broad place, where there is no straitness; And that which is set on thy table would be full of fatness. <\/br><strong>17<\/strong> But thou art full of the judgment of the wicked: Judgment and justice take hold `on thee&#8217;. <\/br><strong>18<\/strong> For let not wrath stir thee up against chastisements; Neither let the greatness of the ransom turn thee aside. <\/br><strong>19<\/strong> Will thy cry avail, `that thou be&#8217; not in distress, Or all the forces of `thy&#8217; strength? <\/br><strong>20<\/strong> Desire not the night, When peoples are cut off in their place. <\/br><strong>21<\/strong> Take heed, regard not iniquity: For this hast thou chosen rather than affliction. <\/br><strong>22<\/strong> Behold, God doeth loftily in his power: Who is a teacher like unto him? <\/br><strong>23<\/strong> Who hath enjoined him his way? Or who can say, Thou hast wrought unrighteousness? <\/br><strong>24<\/strong> Remember that thou magnify his work, Whereof men have sung. <\/br><strong>25<\/strong> All men have looked thereon; Man beholdeth it afar off. <\/br><strong>26<\/strong> Behold, God is great, and we know him not; The number of his years is unsearchable. <\/br><strong>27<\/strong> For he draweth up the drops of water, Which distil in rain from his vapor, <\/br><strong>28<\/strong> Which the skies pour down And drop upon man abundantly. <\/br><strong>29<\/strong> Yea, can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, The thunderings of his pavilion? <\/br><strong>30<\/strong> Behold, he spreadeth his light around him; And he covereth the bottom of the sea. <\/br><strong>31<\/strong> For by these he judgeth the peoples; He giveth food in abundance. <\/br><strong>32<\/strong> He covereth his hands with the lightning, And giveth it a charge that it strike the mark. <\/br><strong>33<\/strong> The noise thereof telleth concerning him, The cattle also concerning `the storm&#8217;
