{"id":25795,"date":"2017-09-30T16:28:20","date_gmt":"2017-09-30T22:28:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/30\/1-timothy-11-20-king-james-version\/"},"modified":"2017-09-30T16:28:20","modified_gmt":"2017-09-30T22:28:20","slug":"1-timothy-11-20-king-james-version","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.accesstogod.com\/?p=25795","title":{"rendered":"1 Timothy 1:1-20 (King James Version)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-4647651612525789\"; \/* access2God_horiz_4_link_single_post *\/ google_ad_slot = \"7824248799\"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong> Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope; <\/br><strong>2<\/strong> Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord. <\/br><strong>3<\/strong> As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, <\/br><strong>4<\/strong> Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. <\/br><strong>5<\/strong> Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: <\/br><strong>6<\/strong> From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; <\/br><strong>7<\/strong> Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. <\/br><strong>8<\/strong> But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; <\/br><strong>9<\/strong> Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, <\/br><strong>10<\/strong> For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; <\/br><strong>11<\/strong> According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. <\/br><strong>12<\/strong> And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; <\/br><strong>13<\/strong> Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. <\/br><strong>14<\/strong> And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. <\/br><strong>15<\/strong> This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. <\/br><strong>16<\/strong> Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. <\/br><strong>17<\/strong> Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. <\/br><strong>18<\/strong> This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; <\/br><strong>19<\/strong> Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: <\/br><strong>20<\/strong> Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I
