This is relevant as we have soldiers at war and on our national holiday, Veteran&#8217;s Day. I know first hand that prayer works. I have used Psalm 91\u00a0 as I pray over my children while they sleep at night. I have used Psalm 91 as scripture to reference while praying to God to protect my home during the hurricane season. And it definitely works. My house during hurricane Ike suffered VERY little damage. I can not say that for some of my neighbors. I pray Psalm 91 as prayer to prevent any harm and any diseases to come onto my kids and my family.<br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-4647651612525789\"; \/* access2God_horiz_4_link_single_post *\/ google_ad_slot = \"7824248799\"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n\n\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0And now with our nation&#8217;s first Black President (Barack Obama) I pray Psalm 91 over him and his family and also this nation. These are some difficult and challenging times. But I thank God for the scripture in Psalm 91. And I thank Jesus for dying on the cross and providing direct access to God.<\/p>\n<p>So let me encourage you as one who has seen the benefits of prayer, specifically Psalm 91, to use scripture in the Bible in your prayers. Because remember God&#8217;s word can not return void.<\/p>\n<p>Here is <strong><font color=\"#800080\">Psalm 91<\/font>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-15397\" class=\"sup\">1<\/span> He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. <sup>[<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=psalm%2091&amp;version=31#fen-NIV-15397a\" title=\"See footnote a\">a<\/a>]<\/sup> <\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-15398\" class=\"sup\">2<\/span> I will say <sup>[<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=psalm%2091&amp;version=31#fen-NIV-15398b\" title=\"See footnote b\">b<\/a>]<\/sup> of the LORD, &#8220;He is my refuge and my fortress,<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 my God, in whom I trust.&#8221; <\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-15399\" class=\"sup\">3<\/span> Surely he will save you from the fowler&#8217;s snare<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 and from the deadly pestilence. <\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-15400\" class=\"sup\">4<\/span> He will cover you with his feathers,<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 and under his wings you will find refuge;<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. <\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-15401\" class=\"sup\">5<\/span> You will not fear the terror of night,<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 nor the arrow that flies by day, <\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-15402\" class=\"sup\">6<\/span> nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 nor the plague that destroys at midday. <\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-15403\" class=\"sup\">7<\/span> A thousand may fall at your side,<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ten thousand at your right hand,<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 but it will not come near you. <\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-15404\" class=\"sup\">8<\/span> You will only observe with your eyes<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 and see the punishment of the wicked. <\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-15405\" class=\"sup\">9<\/span> If you make the Most High your dwelling\u2014<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 even the LORD, who is my refuge- <\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-15406\" class=\"sup\">10<\/span> then no harm will befall you,<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 no disaster will come near your tent. <\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-15407\" class=\"sup\">11<\/span> For he will command his angels concerning you<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 to guard you in all your ways; <\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-15408\" class=\"sup\">12<\/span> they will lift you up in their hands,<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. <\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-15409\" class=\"sup\">13<\/span> You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 you will trample the great lion and the serpent. <\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-15410\" class=\"sup\">14<\/span> &#8220;Because he loves me,&#8221; says the LORD, &#8220;I will rescue him;<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. <\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-15411\" class=\"sup\">15<\/span> He will call upon me, and I will answer him;<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I will be with him in trouble,<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I will deliver him and honor him. <\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-15412\" class=\"sup\">16<\/span> With long life will I satisfy him<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 and show him my salvation.&#8221;<\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I don&#8217;t know if this is true or not, but I heard on the radio that a certain &#8220;group&#8221;
