1 Now the Philistines were fighting against Israel; and the men of Israel went in flight before the Philistines, falling

1 So all Israel was listed by their families; and, truly, they are recorded in the book of the kings

1 Then David had discussions with the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds and with every chief. 2

1 Now these are the men who came to David at Ziklag, while he was still shut up, because of

1 Then they took in the ark of God and put it inside the tent which David had put up
