1 And Joshua gathereth all the tribes of Israel to Shechem, and calleth for the elders of Israel, and for

1 Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men as spies secretly, saying, Go, view the land,

1 But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the devoted thing; for Achan, the son of Carmi, the

1 Now Jericho was tightly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.
