1 It happened, when all the kings of the Amorites, who were beyond the Jordan westward, and all the kings

1 Yahweh said to Joshua, Don’t be afraid, neither be dismayed: take all the people of war with you, and

1 It happened, when all the kings who were beyond the Jordan, in the hill-country, and in the lowland, and

1 Now these are the kings of the land, whom the children of Israel struck, and possessed their land beyond

1 It happened, when Jabin king of Hazor heard of it, that he sent to Jobab king of Madon, and

1 Now it happened, when Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it;

1 Now Joshua was old and well stricken in years; and Yahweh said to him, You are old and well
