Isaiah

1 It happened in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that

1 In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up;

1 There shall come forth a shoot out of the stock of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots

1 Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write perverseness; 2 to turn aside the

1 But there shall be no gloom to her who was in anguish. In the former time he brought into

1 The burden of Moab. For in a night Ar of Moab is laid waste, [and] brought to nothing; for

1 For Yahweh will have compassion on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land:
