1 When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son. 2 As

1 O Israel, return unto Jehovah thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity. 2 Take with you words,

1 When Ephraim spoke, there was trembling; he exalted himself in Israel: but he trespassed through Baal, and he died.

1 Ephraim feedeth on wind, and pursueth after the east wind: all day long he multiplieth lies and desolation; and
