FAQs About Salvation
What Is Salvation?
Christian salvation means that a person believes Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God the Father. A saved person believes that Jesus Christ really did exist and that He died on the cross to actually become and take on the burden of all the world’s sin. Then, on the third day of Jesus’s death, He actually rose from death (he was resurrected) to be at the right hand of God the Father at the throne. Believers of Christ know that Jesus intercedes for us to Father God and that Jesus’s Spirit (the Holy Ghost) is in us and around us all the time.
Believers know that once they confess to God that they do believe in Jesus Christ who dies and was resurrected and took on our sins so that we won’t have to pay the price through spiritual death, that they have power over spiritual death. We know our bodies will die. But through salvation we will live eternally spiritually with God the Father and Jesus and all our saved and rightly judged loved ones.
Jesus died for all of our imperfections. There is no man or woman free of sin. We were born into a world of sin. But once we are saved, we have salvation, then our names are written in The Book Of Life. God erases or forgives us of all sin that we committed before becoming saved (also known as becoming born again). This does not mean we will never face trials and tribulations and hardships. Because we will. It means that once we are saved, we are born again. That we become a new man or woman of God (who is a God of love). It means we through accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior have access to God the Father and eternal life. It also means that all the blessings and promises in the Bible are rightly ours to claim as saved Christians and children of God.
The Bible says in John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
It is so important that you believe in Jesus, His purpose and deeds because there is power in your belief. And also because Jesus is the ONLY way to God the Father. The Bible says in
John 14:6
“6Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.”
If you are not saved, do you want to take the risk of not living eternally spiritually? Don’t let pride block you from your blessings. And if Christians are wrong, then you still do not have anything to lose. So I encourage you to become saved if you are not already.
All you have to do is pray something similar to what the TBN (Trinity Broadcast Network) site says (be sure to ask God for forgiveness of your sins when you do this):
“Jesus, I believe in You. I believe You are the Son of God, that You died for my sins, and that You were buried and rose again as written in the Bible. I’m sorry for the things I’ve done that hurt You. Forgive me for all my sins. Come into my heart, take charge of my life and make me the way You want me to be. With Your ever present help, I renounce all my sinful practices of the past. Cleanse my heart with Your precious blood. Write my name in Your Book of Life. I confess You now as my Lord and Savior. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Thank You, Jesus! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
My friend, if you have confessed this with honesty, you are saved!!!
Universal Salvation
I thank God that we all have universal salvation. It is not something granted to a certain kind of people, race, gender, or nationality. Salvation is granted to all of us who believe in Jesus Christ. If you are not saved, read the section above under “What is salvation” and get saved NOW!! Your eternal spiritual life depends on it.
The Bible even states that it makes no difference as to your heritage (the Bible uses Jews and Greeks as an example in scripture to make the point that we all have access to God the Father through the Son Jesus Christ.
In Romans 10:9-13 it says
“9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
I praise God for granting salvation to ALL of us!! Salvation is universal. One nation, culture, gender, or race can not claim salvation as belonging only to them. For God is a God of love. The very gift of salvation through the sacrifice of His only begotten Son is proof!
Salvation History
Before the covenant of Jesus Christ was fulfilled as evident in the New Testament in the Bible, people had to go to priests and sacrifices of animals were done for the priests to have access to God the Father. Prophets were used with reverence before Jesus Christ walked this earth and then died and resurrected to fulfill prophecy. So once Jesus was crucified, then all the promises under the New covenant, the New Testament were granted to us,the children of Abraham. Now, instead of each one of us having to go to priests and deal with rituals and law and sacrifices of animals, we have direct access to Father God by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior who took on sin, death, and was resurrected so we would be saved (have eternal spiritual life). I thank God for that. But the only way to the Father is through the Son (Jesus Christ). If you are not saved, please read the section titled “What Is Salvation” because your very spiritual life depends on it. Do not take chances with what will happen to your spirit when you die. We know for certain our bodies will die. Christians know that our spirits can live on eternally by becoming saved (salvation is key and is your true access to God through your belief and confession of Jesus Christ).
Lose Salvation (Can You Lose Your Salvation?)
Can you lose salvation? Let’s be careful with this one shall we? Look at it this way, once you are saved, you are saved. But now that you admit that you know Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, that He died on the cross for all of us sinners, and that He was resurrected, God will judge you based on your life after you became saved. Your judgement can grant you a Heavenly eternal spiritual life or it can land you to a Hellish eternal spiritual life. Your spirit will live on long after your body dies. But what determines where your spirit will spend eternally is up to you and your actions. No you don’t have to be perfect. But when you make mistakes do you confess them to God so He can forgive you. Do you make an honest attempt to repent, to not repeat the sin. Now don’t fret, God is a God of mercy and grace. So none of us are going to to everything right all the time. But God knows all of our hearts. So once saved, you will not lose salvation. But regardless you will be judged. That judgement will determine if you end up in Heaven or Hell. Don’t take any chances, if you at some point in your life became saved and know perhaps you have taken a step backwards in your faith walk, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to reconnect with God by “re-saving” yourself. Again, you didn’t lose your salvation, but it is another pledge to God and yourself and Jesus that you are attempting to get things back in order in your life. You are admitting you are not perfect but will take one step at a time to do things better from this day forward. God bless you in your journey my friend in Christ! For a prayer of salvation see the section labeled “What is salvation?”

Romans 10:9-13
9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
John 14:6
6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus Salvation
Jesus’s Salvation of us is the most important gift that God the Father could have given us. And it truly is a gift that no amount of the money in the world would be enough to pay God for the blessing of salvation. I thank God for His gift, His perfect plan of salvation. And I thank Jesus for carrying out God’s plan of salvation so that all of us can have eternal spiritual life. I love you Father God and I love you Jesus the Son!!
Baptism Salvation
Baptism is not required to achieve salvation or to be saved. Think of baptism as a way to demonstrate that you are saved and that through salvation your sins have been washed away. If you are not baptized, it does not mean you are not saved. Go to All About God for more information regarding baptism and salvation.
