Interpreting My Dream

Lately, I’ve fallen short of the glory. I was wondering why people who appear to be either vulgar, braggadocios, vain, or too easy to use sexuality to promote their products, service, or talents seem to be the ones who prosper in abundance in life.
It’s not that I was hating. I’m happy for them but when I see my sacrifices, love of God, work ethic, prayer life, consistent giving, etc I wonder why it’s taking longer for me to achieve the same financial prosperity.

After asking God and even apologizing to Him for even asking, I had the following dream:

In my dream, there were four young ladies. All were beautiful, positive, well dressed, well groomed, laughing, and well mannered. These four young ladies went to a diner they visited often. The diner was completely empty other than the people who worked there and the four young lady customers. One (who we will call Adrienne) knew the cashier behind the counter extremely well but the other three young ladies also knew the cashier. So the one more familiar (Adrienne) engaged in a pleasant conversation with the cashier. They chatted a bit. When it came time to order, Adrienne began to tell the cashier what she wanted. The cashier demanded (with a smile on her face) that the four young ladies take a ticket with a number. This would determine the order that they were served. Well, Adrienne didn’t understand this. She thought it was a complete waste of time. After all, the cashier knew all of them, especially Adrienne, and there weren’t any other customers in the diner. But the cashier nodded her head in agreement with Adrienne but still demanded each of them take a number in order to be served. Adrienne shook her head in disagreement but she and the other three young ladies obeyed the cashier. They took a ticket with a number on it in order to be served, then they took their seats at the bar of the diner. I then woke up.

My interpretation of the dream is that God was answering my question. He is saying to me and anyone reading this blog post, that even though He knows us and WE feel like we have a close relationship with God, He is still a God of order, rules, and protocols that we must obey and follow. We are no better than anyone else in this world. We have to take a seat (bow down and submit to Him) in order to be served by God. He will get to us in HIS divine timing. We are to obey His rules, order, and protocols for us to be served. Who are we to judge? Who are we to say who receives their blessings first? Who are we to determine the level of the blessings? After all Peter reminds us that God is no respecter of persons. He doesn’t have favorites although we can have favor. Acts 10:34-35 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

Also we don’t know the plans of God. We don’t know what He has in mind and the timing of His will. 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

So I said all that to say, be patient on God’s blessings and answers to your prayers. He will deliver us and promote us in His timing. We all sin and fall short of His glory. Noone is better than anyone else no matter how badly we think someone has sinned. We sin too! In fact, in the bible God uses major sinners to bless, deliver, and heal His people. We are not to judge. We all have a place in line with God. We are simply to believe by faith we will receive all that He has promised us in Jesus name and in His timing.

Walking in love,
